The modified heads:These are from a Porsche 911 Carrera 2

Note the welding above the top spark plug hole and also the stud holes have been relocated.

The right hand head :

note the first plug hole is not used

The Turbo is located just behind this head.

 

 Underneath :

The main oil return from the head goes into the sump extension, along side the turbo oil return.

 

 The pulleys :

Are aftermarket Piper items

Cam belts are Polo

Idler tensioners are Golf TDI

The rear wing:

Probably not needed except for housing the charge cooler radiator, When this photo was taken there was an intercooler housed in there.

How it all began, One of the first K-Jet powered Type 4 engines. We used the stock D-Jet runners, Fabbed a centre section to mount an A100 throttle  body to and mounted the injectors in the original holes, using a valve spring retainer with a slot cut in and the original injector retainer ring used to clamp around the new injector.

This was the Bug which Russ first bought and started racing with,It was stolen at the end of a season,so a replacement was found built and campaigned the next year.
